Social Good Roasters, where baristas and roasters with disabilities are active, will start selling new products “Iced Cappuccino” and
Cold Brew” will be available from July 1 (Friday).
Social Good Roasters’ products, which are created by a diverse group of individuals, have been devised so that all staff members can be involved in the entire production process, from handling the green beans to serving the products. Our philosophy as a welfare facility and our sustainable approach, combined with our coffee expertise, enhances the flavor of our drinks and creates a coffee like no other. The coffee farmers, the staff working at Social Good Roasters, and the customers who take the coffee in their hands… We hope you will enjoy our coffees, which are created with all the “people” involved at the center. Both are iced drinks that you will want to drink in the hot summer.
Sold only at the storefront. Please enjoy the aroma of the coffee from the roasting machine while watching the coffee production process.

[Iced Cappuccino]
A cold cappuccino arranged with Social Good Roasters’ “Home Latte Base”.
This dessert drink combines plenty of whipped milk with “Home Latte Base” and cascara syrup. Enjoy the wonderful harmony of the fruity acidity of the cascara, the richness of the coffee, and the sweetness of the milk, along with the fluffy texture.

Whipped milk, home base latte (unsweetened or decaf), cascara syrup, cascara syrup Cascara syrup, cascara

-What is cascara?-
Cascara is dried coffee pulp that is discarded during the coffee bean production process.
It is attracting attention as a superfood with 15 times the antioxidant power of acai. We use cascara in our products as a sustainable initiative to support small farms.

[Cold Brew]
Our signature blend, Social Good Blend, is a mellow coffee that is brewed over a 24-hour period. The grind of the roasted beans is adjusted for a clear taste. The reason why there is no astringency even after the ground beans have been soaked in water for a long time is because the defective beans are thoroughly removed in the hand sorting process. Enjoy this coffee that you will want to drink again and again and never get tired of it.

Social Good Blend (Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil)

-What is hand sorting?-
Hand sorting is the process of thoroughly removing green beans of uneven shape and size, and moldy beans with blue mold attached, using the human hand and eye to sort out defective beans and those that can be used for products. The amount of beans roasted at one time is about 1.5 times of that of the original beans.

Each roasting volume (~6 kg) is carefully hand-sorted by a staff of over 20 people over the course of almost a full day, a process made possible by Social Good Roasters’ large staff and non-profit operation.
